~Lyndis Valcove - Q9~
After spending the morning finalizing the papermaking process and leaving the new sheets out to dry in the sun, Lyn decided she wanted to stretch her wings a little. Wandering over towards the guild, she picked a delivery quest, which seemed rather perfect for someone like her where the sea was no restriction.
All her injuries had finally healed, leaving her able to fly and maneouver through the air freely with the small package. The villager she was coincidentally helping out this time was actually a human, one of the very few that currently reside in Myrtle Village. His name was Aldis, and supposedly left his kingdom due to disagreeing with their ideals.
He asked her to deliver a porcelain statue which was a late birthday gift to his niece, named Suzi. She could find her close to the Mainland's shores North of Myrtle Island. He warned that the kingdom did not take kindly to beings that looked like monsters, which may include Lyndis, although he hadn't returned in a few years so things may have changed by now...
Just as this warning popped up in her mind again, and just as she was about to idly reach the shores of the Mainland, an arrow skimmed her waist, barely avoiding a direct penetration through her torso.
Alarmed, Lyndis immediately retreated, just as arrogant yells pierced her ears.
"Be gone beast!"
"Those bastards are trying to sneak attack us from the seashore now! What monsters!"
"Quick, send a report to Queen Mitalia!"
"Don't let those hideous creatures of the East enter our grounds!"
Unable to fufill her mission, she quickly returned home, no longer flying at the same casual pace as she was earlier. With complex emotions, she returned the statue to Aldis before hurriedly returning to the guild to make her report...
