~Lyndis Valcove - Q4~
After many days of strenuous training with Sensei Gaiden, Lyndis finally felt she should give herself a bit of a break and take on a different quest for once. This time, on behalf of the Mayor, who Lyndis had yet to meet in person, she was off to the nearby forest to collect materials for the village.
After asking around, she had learnt that there was a sparse tropical forest to the East of the village, which was only a 10 minute walk away at a casual pace. It was named Myral Mistwood by the villagers, since Myral was another word for 'thanks' in an old language, and the villagers were grateful to Mother Nature's gift. It was also named 'Mistwood' quite blatantly, due to the mists and fogs that frequently shrouded the woodland.
Quite excited to explore an environment somewhat familiar to home, having originated from a dark forest in her old world, she idly flew over towards the mistwood with a cheerful smile on her face.
Since it was early morning, the forest was particularly misty at this time, making it significantly harder for Lyndis to complete her task. Although weakened, she still had the mindset of a hunter, always warily checking her surroundings and utilizing all of her senses carefully, even if they didn't work as well as she was used to.
Combing the forest for collectibles, she gathered a bunch of fallen branches from different trees, some firmer and thinner than others, whilst others had a strange shiny coating. She didn't have an axe or a weapon that she could use to chop down trees, hence she made do with what she could find.
Additionally, she also picked up some long, thin leaves from a huge shrub, which she faintly recognized for being used in woven mats/ropes back in the village.
Although she wanted to venture a little longer and further into the depths of the misty forest, her hands were becoming quite full, making her ponder if she should have done her collecting after exploring. Leaving that possibility for next time, she slowly flew back home with her spoils.
