"HA! Who would have thought that complaining about this horrible service in here could net me the very same f***ing job I critized a couple of hours ago?! Unbelievable! And YOU why'd you take the request? What is wrong with you?" Nyx, and with him Nier was standing behind the counter, silently waiting for others. The very same spot they themselves used barely one day ago to get information about this world.
With a slight sigh the boy tried to ignore his annoying and rather rude self, who was argueing about the importance of such a place, throwing one tandrum after another. Of course he could silence Nier with as much as an order...or not even, a single gesture would be enough, but so far no customer was in sight and it got a bit boring, so why not. Let him have his fun otherwise he'd have to endure the talking in the night and that was something he was not looking forward to.
While even the smallest bit of this quest made the hair on Nyxs' neck stand up, he had to use this opportunity to learn as much about this universe, this town and the people that were living in here. Of course he had to act at least a bit 'normal' so to speak, but that was a price he gladly paid for intel. Another good thing was that he'd get to know other people that were like him, from other worlds, stranded in this happy merry-go-round.
The door opened and Niers gaze went in that direction with a small grin on his grotesque looking face. The black haired male was not as interested and had his attention focused on some documents that were in front of him. A tall, four-armed Creature entered the shack. Two blue rapiers were strapped on his waist, ready to pierce anyone who dared to go near him.
He did not seem new but that was just a hunch, mere instinct. Nier could be wrong though. As that man...or thing came closer even Nyx lifted his head to show a tiny bit of curiousity. Something else that caught his interest was the eyes of this individuals. Unlike humans he had 2 pairs. Would that mean that his field of vision was better than others? Probably, but for him that meant more weaknesses one could aim for.
The adventurer looked at them with a smirk. He told them that he does not know them and concluded that they must be here for the job. That man seemed like a nice fella, which made Nier barely throw up. The noises he did were kind of gross. "Hey big guy, shut yer mouth will ya? We are pretty busy in here-" The face stopped talking for a bit and let the silence speak for itself.
If this was a western movie now would have been the perfect chance for a hay bale to appear, rolling around the building. "Aww... whatever! Whatcha want? A quest? Are you new? Whats your deal?" The creature held up two furred corpses with some of his hands, showing that he successfully did his deed for the day. Nyx was sorting some papers, looking for a specific one.
There it was. Elimination of the Terror Bunnies. Large monsters, similar to rabbits but with sharp teeth. They are rumored to be quite fast, able to prey on others in just mere seconds. It was classified as a level 4 mission. He hoped that something like that would be within his reach soon as well. Being stuck here was terrible! He took his stamp and approved of the completion.
"Here you go you spider thingy freak!" Nyx handed over a small amount of gold which was a reward. Soon this day would be over and he was eagerly awaiting that time although he feared that there would be quite a lot of other missions similar to this that required for him to pretend to actually care about all this. But it was a necessary evil, he needed all of this to grow apparently.
As the big man left, more or less with a confused and slightly taunted face, Nier turned a bit and watched as his host continued to flip through the papers. "Hehehe, hey Nyx, imagine having four arms! Man what I would do with them. Oh...!" He ceased to talk because he remembered that he had not even two working limbs to work with and got a bit sad.

Summary: He helped as a receptionist, got one customer and accepted his completion while more or less insulting said person.
