✴A Wistful Memory✴
~Lyndis Valcove - Q10~
Deciding to take a bit of a break before her next trip to the mainland, Lyndis took on a cute little quest recently stuck on the quest board. She idly wondered why only the more experienced adventurers could take on this quest, since it didn't seem that difficult, until she realized just how rare 'extremely rare' was.
Even after combing through all the tricky little hiding spots for crustaceans that she knew of after her many days of hunting here in Probos, as well as vast amounts of rockpools and areas by the seashore, she couldn't find a single mated pair of Telephone Conches.
However, just as the sun went down, she managed to find a single lone Conch with a tattered spiralling white shell. After speaking into it, she realized that the conch's mated partner was right beside them, but unfortunately deceased. Its fallen shell was a dark grey, almost black, and as Lyndis watched the mournful little white Conch, faint memories of her past surfaced within her.
It was far too much of a coincidence for her not to remember those times after all, considering how closely the colours seemed to match. Even the fact that the white conch still seemed to mourn over her fallen partner was painfully accurate, despite how much time seemed to have passed. Lyndis smiled sadly as she pet the widowed white conch, before leaving them to mourn in peace and continue her search.
Fortunately, just as the cloak of darkness was about to envelop her, out and about on the far reaches West of Myrtle Island away from the village, Lyndis found a cute little pair of Telephone Conches resting side by side in the crack of a small sea cave. They seemed to resemble quite a young and innocent little couple, with the pink shelled one immediately trying to lash out at her when she picked up the blue shelled one.
Feeling a strange desire to protect their blossoming and pure love, but at the same time corrupt it, Lyndis carefully scooped up the pair into her arms. After drying her wings in the night breeze, she flew back to the adventurer's guild shack to make her report and deliver her finds.
