deltra of gangnam style
Ethan woke up with a soft groan. Just what the hell happened? The last thing he remembered was fighting a bunch of player bandits waylaying a family of Landers. He fought them off with everything he had. The teen "killed" three of them and pushed back the rest. Afterwards, he ended up slipping on a puddle that he didn't notice until it was too late. Instead of hitting the ground, he sank right through it! What kind of wacky shit was that? The teen sat up and surveyed his surroundings.
The first thing he noticed was the wetness. When he was in the game, Ethan did feel wet whenever he got hit by water but that was all simulated. Not even close to the real deal. Looking down, he saw that he was in his kimono and it was soaked through. Apparently whatever mysterious force brought him through the looking glass didn't see fit to keep his clothes dry. Which made it all the more embarrassing as he was still stuck in his avatar's body.
The teen sighed as he clambered to his feet. Suddenly, he noticed a presence close by. He jerked around and saw an elf girl. She looked about the age of his avatar which was roughly in her 20s. Although since this is a legitimate elf and not an avatar, she could have very well been over 500 years old. Not that it really mattered though since she had a similar body type to Tyrael and was dressed in the fairly subdued hunter's garb. Finding his voice, he asked, "Who are you?"
She grinned. "Name's Kali. I'm a hunter from Myrtle Village. So you're an Otherworlder eh?"
Ethan nodded, unsure of what that meant. If he had to take a guess, that means he got isekaid from the real world into Elder Tale, then from there to here. And there wasn't even a Truck-kun to do it! Curses!
Kali shouldered the bag and the longbow she carried before holding a hand out to him. He took it and she asked, "What's your name kid?"
Ethan hesitated as he grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. Should he give his real name? Or stick with his avatar's? After all, she might not even understand MMO terminology. He decided to give it a shot. "Well, I should have you know that this isn't my real body."
"Oh?"
"This is my digital self and not my actual physical self." Ethan breathed in and out. Here goes. "My real name is Ethan Hawkins. I'm a 17 year old human in the real. The body I look like now is an elf called Tyrael." He waited for his companion's reaction. Ethan was pleasantly surprised when she crossed her arms and frowned in thoughtfulness.
She said, "You'd be surprised about the kind of Otherworlders we get here. I remember meeting one who claimed to have come from what he called a "VRMMORPG". He explained a lot of what that is and the concepts that go with it. Not sure what happened to him after taking him to the Guild." She nodded. "You probably have a lot of questions about this place so I'll take you to the Adventurer's Guild. But first, we need to do something about those clothes."
Ethan looked down and remembered his soaked through kimono. His cheeks heated up. A few moments later, his clothes were dry and the swords were still in fairly good condition. They lost a lot of their power when he arrived though. Kali lead the teen over to the Guild where a big, hulking man stood with his arms crossed. Grinning, he said,
"Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild, traveler!"
