Just as Lyndis braced herself for death, or if not, severe damage to her skull at least, she suddenly passed through a thin veil of soft cushiony liquid, immediately halting all the momentum she was falling with, somehow with no repurcussions or backlash to her body.
As Lyndis was enveloped and comforted by the soft blanket of liquid, she was suddenly spewed out of the Reflecting Pool like a sack of potatoes. Finding herself in what seemed to be a strange new world, she darted her eyes around warily as she climbed out of the pool.
Quickly noticing the bird-like new arrival, an old lady smiled warmly and gave her a warm welcome, her every move filled with an enviable grace and fluidity. "Welcome young one, to the world of Probos. You find yourself in the humble village of Myrtle, our only landmark being the pool you found yourself transported from."
"I'm sure you have many questions, but first follow me to the adventurer's guild. It is the best place for otherworlders like yourself to settle and make a living." She explained patiently, as Lyndis quietly followed behind the delicate and old human up the worn pathway.
Whilst comforting the harpy, the old lady introduced herself to be Nanai, a relatively well-respected elder of the village. Lyndis was too busy being paranoid about this strange new place to listen to much of what Nanai was kindly explaining to her about. It was fortunate that she even remembered her name and position in the village.
After an oddly long while, the pair arrived outside a shabby hut on the outskirts of the village. Since it kind of resembled the huts she had in her old world, Lyndis eagerly approached the building with a bright smile on her face. Unfortunately, nothing but an ordinary human man exited the building, smiling at her as he spoke excitedly.
"Welcome to the adventurer's guild!"
Summary: Lyndis arrived at Myrtle Village by passing through the Reflecting Pool and was led to the Adventurer's Guild by an elder of the village, named Nanai.
